A. Gränsfors Bruk SMALL FOREST AXE (p/n: 420) - This axe is the most popular and versatile within the Gransfors Bruks range. Its handle is long enough to allow for powerful chopping, yet still compact enough to fit in a rucksack. This makes it excellent for felling trees and limbing. The axe measures 19" (49cm) in length with the handle, weighs 1.5 lb (0.7kg) in the head, and 2.1 lb (0.95kg) in total. The cutting edge is 3.25" (85mm) wide. It is delivered sharp, with a protective leather sheath and a copy of "The Axe Book" (in English).

B. Gränsfors Bruk CERAMIC GRINDING STONE (p/n: 4034) - This man-made sharpening stone features two grinding faces: a coarse side (180 grit) for repairing damage and heavy wear, and a fine side (600 grit) for general sharpening. The ceramic composite construction makes the stone both durable and strong. Unlike natural sandstone, the ceramic material allows for a more precisely controlled grain size. The stone has a round, flat shape with bevelled edges to prevent chipping. The fine side takes up two-thirds of the thickness, as this is the side most frequently used and worn down.

This stone can be used with water or dry, and does not require any honing oil. It comes with a protective rubber case that also serves as a convenient holder during grinding and sharpening.

• The Gransfors 20-YEAR guarantee covers only the AXE HEAD against manufacturing defects. Handles are not covered under this guarantee, unless a structural defect in the wood is evident.

• In March 2017, Gransfors abandoned the use of steel wedges in all their axes, except for their splitting range.
