Outdoor Axe Sheath for Gransfors Bruk

The Gransfors Bruks (or Bruk) Outdoor Axe sheath is specifically designed and constructed for this particular axe. Handmade in Spokane, Washington, USA, the sheath is crafted from raw cowhide that has been stained and treated with Neatsfoot oil. The manufacturing process begins with three pieces of leather: the main body of the sheath, the securing strap, and the welt. The main body is folded over a welt that is inserted in between the two halves, preventing the blade of the inserted axe from cutting through the stitching that holds the sheath together. The sheath is then hand-stitched, and rivets are placed at the corners to reinforce the body. The axe head blade is prevented from touching the rivets due to the presence of the welt. The retention strap is secured with a rivet, and a snap is added for easy on/off action. This sheath is built to last, with a quality handmade construction in the USA (Spokane, Washington).
